Terms of service
These terms govern use of hirecheck.co.uk and the HireCheck screening platform.
The service
HireCheck provides employment verification services requested by employers with candidate consent. Results are provided for lawful hiring and employment purposes only.
Acceptable use
- Run checks only on individuals who have given informed consent through the platform.
- Use results only for the purpose disclosed to the candidate.
- Do not attempt to access data you are not authorised to see, or use the service to discriminate unlawfully.
Accounts and responsibility
Employers are responsible for the accuracy of the information they submit, for establishing a lawful basis for each check, and for decisions made using check results. HireCheck provides verified information; hiring decisions remain the employer's.
Intellectual property
The platform, site content and HireCheck branding are owned by HireCheck or its licensors. No licence to use them is granted beyond normal use of the service.
Liability
The service is provided with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, HireCheck is not liable for indirect losses or for decisions made on the basis of check results. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
