HireCheck is a UK-built employment screening platform on a simple premise: background checks should move at the speed of hiring, and treat candidates like future colleagues, not suspects.
Why HireCheck exists
Every hiring team knows the moment: the offer is out, the start date is set, and then screening begins, a fog of PDF forms, chased references, and "we'll get back to you" that can stretch a week of momentum into a month of silence. Candidates accept other offers. Start dates slip. Nobody can say what's actually outstanding.
We built HireCheck to remove that fog. One platform runs identity, right to work, criminal record, employment history and ten other verification types, in parallel, with live status for everyone involved. Employers see an SLA timer, not an inbox. Candidates see a progress bar, not a void.
What we believe
- Speed is a feature of respect. Slow screening costs candidates income and employers hires. Most teams run their first check within five minutes of signing up.
- Candidates are users, not subjects. Clear consent, plain language, and a flow that works on a phone at a bus stop.
- Compliance is the product, not the paperwork. Audit trails, lawful-basis records and jurisdiction-appropriate checks are built into the flow, not bolted on after.
